One morning on my walk to work, i wasn’t paying attention. Holding a Jasmine flower in my hands, i was aware of the fragrance but not paying attention where i was going. Immersed in thinking… about the many parts of self in me that were still living in the past…the Jasmine i was holding slipped out of my hand and fell on a huge ficus tree root i could have easily dripped over. Looking down, i burst into laughter thinking, “See what’s in front of you, pay attention!”
i paid more attention that day.
