Tree, flower, and root … cover the basic organs of seed-bearing plants. Together, they balance survival and reproduction. Roots are a tree’s nurturing connection to earth and other trees. Flowers drive the tree’s reproductive cycle, and the tree itself, in bea’s view, represents the Tree of Life. On earth to stay, i pray.
Tree Flower calls us to pay attention
and grow stronger roots.
One morning on my walk to work, i wasn’t paying attention. Holding a Jasmine flower in my hands, i was aware of the fragrance but not paying attention where i was going. Immersed in thinking… about the many parts of self in me that were still living in the past…the Jasmin i was holding slipped out of my hand and fell on a huge ficus tree root i could have easily dripped over. Looking down, i burst into laughter thinking, “See what’s in front of you, pay attention!”
